Charters

We offer full and half day sight fishing charters for up to 2 anglers*. We specialize in fly and light tackle artificial lure sight fishing trips and you will be fishing Georgia's Coastal Empire the way it was meant to be fished...standing on the bow of a skiff. Gliding across flats, slipping between oyster bars and stalking thick spartina shorelines we will be sight fishing for redfish, black drum and speckled trout. (Depending on the season Tarpon, Cobia, Jack Crevalle and more may also be targets.)  We also offer instructional trips for artificial lure or fly fishing, where we will spend the day improving your flats fishing and deepening the addiction.

Need To Know

While any day on the water is almost always better than any day off of it, there are a few things you can do to make it even better. Following is a list of suggestions, (some more mandatory than others), but the number one way to make your day the best it can be is to clearly communicate your goals and intentions with the guide prior to the trip. We are known for customizing our days to meet and exceed YOUR goals, not ours, and we can't do that without your input.

What to Wear:

The Georgia sun is unforgiving. A tank top and a pair of shorts may seem like a good idea, but after 5 hours in the sun, you'll be spending the rest of your visit tending to a nasty burn and doing everything you can to avoid the sun.

  • A long sleeve performance fabric shirt is the way to go. If it has a hood to protect the back of your neck, even better.

  • A hat, not only to protect your head, but to keep some of the sun glare out of your eyes.

  • Speaking of your eyes...POLARIZED SUNGLASSES! Consider this mandatory. Bronze or rose lenses tend to be best all around, but any pair of polarized glasses is better than none. We are SIGHT FISHING after all.

  • Sun Screen. Seriously. Again, consider it mandatory. (And please no spray.)

  • Please wear footwear with soft, non-marking soles, and wipe your feet on the provided mat before stepping aboard.

What to Bring:

You will be fishing on a 17' technical poling skiff. There is a cooler for your food and beverages, and storage for your personal items, but it is 17' skiff, so be judicious in what you bring.

  • Food and beverages. We provide water and ice. Alcoholic beverages are ok, but no glass is allowed, and please remember it is a fishing trip not a booze cruise.

  • Foul weather gear, if you have it. Coastal Georgia weather can change in a minute and a 15 minute thunderstorm in the middle of a beautiful summer day is kind of normal around here.

  • A smile and a great attitude. We are going to work hard to make your day a success.

A Few More Things:

  • All Georgia and South Carolina State Fishing Licenses are provided. However, in order to protect the fishery, we are a catch and release operation.

  • Start time will be arranged directly with the Captain prior to the trip. Tide stages and wind play a huge role in the kind of fishing we will be doing, so being open to fishing the best part of the day is going to be your best chance for success.

  • Meeting place will also be determined prior to the trip. We offer several meeting places for your convenience.

  • All of our trips are suitable for children. Teaching and sparking a passion for the water is one of our favorite things to do. Please be open about your child's age, interest level and skills.

*Due to Coast Guard regulations and the nature of a technical poling skiff there is a weight limit of 400 pounds total for anglers and gear.
